Our Clean Energy Future: Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive

Electric power suppliers in the Carolinas have embraced the precepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and increasingly understand the value and business advantages of incorporating DEI into their business practices. At the same time, these power suppliers are committed to delivering reliable, affordable, accessible and cleaner energy to the diverse communities they serve, with the understanding that achievement of equity and inclusion requires informed and empowered customers. This conference will explore the key role of DEI in the Carolinas’ clean energy workforce; while spotlighting a handful of initiatives and programs designed to inform and empower Carolinas’ consumers.

The energy economy is ever evolving with products and services. It remains critical that marginalized populations, historically excluded from the planning and decision-making of this economy, be incorporated in a consistent and intentional manner. This conference provides context for addressing complex issues at the forefront of the industry as well as examining organizational best practices.
